5 books that shocked me with how good they were
A relatively silent week in terms of productivity but still some things to talk about!
👋 Hello
Waddup my bookish dweebs. Been a bit cold this week ‘hent it? We haven’t had any snow here in Norfolk, but the floor has been almost permanently frosty, which my cats have enjoyed!
In terms of reading, it’s been a very slow week but I imagine next week will be far more productive!
I got a new phone this week too and so my microphone I got for Christmas no longer works with it, so working on sorting that situation!
I also posted a new video as well on five more books that shocked me with how good they were, so make sure to give that a watch:
📖 What I’ve been reading this week
As I said above, I haven’t done a vast amount of reading this week, but I did get some audiobooks listened to which meant that I could finish A Deadly Education by Naomi Novik and get started on Dragonflight by Anne McCaffrey which I found the paperback for in Asda and so decided to start.
A Deadly Education was bang average, confusing and never felt like it had any proper story. Dragonflight seems to be quite vast in terms of lore, so I’m having to really focus on the first couple of chapters.
I’ve just finalised the final list of the twelve books I’ll be reading in 2025 from the books you recommended though, so keep an eye out for that being released on my social channels.
🤑 Paperbacks for less than £5
One of my favourite things about Amazon is that you can pick up paperbacks for so cheap!
If you’re in the UK, there are a lot of paperbacks you can pick up for less than £5, so I’ve listed a few of the highlights below:
